Mangala Devi Temple beautifully located at a distance of 15 kilometers away from Thekkady is a 1000 years old ancient temple. The holy shrine is unseen as it is nestled inside the dense forests of Periyar Tiger Reserve among the Wildlife in Keralam. It is situated at an altitude of 1337 meters above the sea level. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Mangala Devi, also known as “Kannaki” and is built in the traditional architectural of Keralean style. It is believed that the goddess Mangala Devi represents the moral power of the every woman. Bordered by the lush green forest the shrine remains to be closed throughout the year except during Chitra Purnima festival held during the month of April to May. Chembra Peak
