Thusharagiri Waterfalls
Thusharagiri Waterfalls is beautiful waterfall positioning itself in the Kodencherry village of Kozhikode district in the Indian state of gods own country Kerala. As the name mean, land and water have smitten an exceptional relationship at this place. The name itself means mist capped peaks i.e. mountains covered with snow. Two streams breeding from the Western Ghats come together to form the Chalippuzha River. The river deflects into three wandering waterfalls composing a snow-clad mist which gives the name Thusharagiri to this waterfall. Thenpara Waterfall falls from an altitude of 75 m (246 ft) making it the highest waterfall of the three.
There are many other Waterfalls in kerala like Athirapally.
Trekking and Rock climbing at Thusharagiri Fall:

It is a well renowned place for trekking and rock climbing. Trekkers and rock climbers have to begin their venture early in the daylight from the second water fall on the hills mount on through the primeval crowded evergreen forests swarming with the unusual birds and animals to conquer Vythiri in Wayanad district by evening. The forestation target that bristles in pepper, ginger, areca nut, rubber and spices, is also a climbers ecstasy. The plantations braces as the statement of the life time attempt of early settlers. Although there are five waterfalls travelers can access only three of them which are in the lowest. Conquering to the top two falls require walk of more than 5km from there. Chances of unexpected battle with wild animals add an extra extent of adventure to the venture seeker. As a result, the charm of first two Thusharagiri Falls is confined only to venture seekers.
Other various attractions nearby include: Kappad beach, Lakanarkavu Temple, Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, Thali Temple, Kozhikode backwaters, Beypore beach, Vythiri and Kozhikode city (fooding and lodging). Area in the locality of the waterfalls, luckily, yet conserves untouched wild natural beauty. The best time to visit this place is monsoon when it will be at its best. It is an ideal holiday destination for all types of venture seekers and not for the faint heart. This Kerala waterfall is also a superb picnic spot as well as a gentle extravagant retreat.

  2. Originating from Chalippuzha River which diverges into 3 waterfalls, Thusharagiri Waterfalls in Calicut are certainly a pleasure to visit. Also, stay at hotels in Calicut and witness the serene beauty of Kerala, the state facing the Arabian Sea.
